‘Jannat 2’ in legal trouble over plagiarism claims

This weekend’s huge release ‘Jannat 2’ has landed into a spot of trouble after a Mumbai based writer filed a case of plagiarism against the Bhatts claiming the film was apparently stolen from him.

Kapil Chopra claimed that he had registered his story way back in 2007 with the Film Writers Association. He said that since he knew Kunal Deshmukh very well, so he had narrated the script to him once.

Deshmukh and Bhatt both denied the allegations, which has resulted in Chopra taking legal action against the film.

Reports suggest that Chopra wants to put an injunction on the film releasing this weekend. Furthermore, the writer is demanding credit to him for the film being made.
