The current lockdown is creaive much uncertainty over upcoming Bollywood releases. After it was reported that Akshay Kumar’s ‘Laxmmi Bomb’ and Amitabh Bachchan-Ayushmann Khurrana’s ‘Gulabo Sitabo’ are likely to skip their theatrical release and instead premiere on digital platforms directly, it now seems the same is being considered about Janhvi Kapoor’s ‘Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl’.
Box Office Worldwide reports that the film, which was set to hit at cinemas in March, is eyeing for a release directly on Netflix.
A source was quoted in the publication saying, “At this point in time, the only two Bollywood films certain to have a big-screen release whenever are Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi and Ranveer Singh’s 83. Every other film is in consideration or talks for web releases including Janhvi’s biopic.”
The film also stars Pankaj Tripathi and Angad Bedi.
