Janhvi Kapoor to play her first double-role

Despite only having started her career, Jahnvi Kapoor seems to be taking on all the challenges that come her way. If recent news is to be believed, the young star will soon be seen playing a double role in her forthcoming film ‘Rooh-Afza’.

Understanding that she will always be compared to her mother, it had been said that Sridevi’s double-act in ‘Chaalbaaz’ (1989) will be seen as a reference point. However, further news states this will not be the case at all. “Her mother (Sridevi) and her uncle (Anil Kapoor) have done double roles in’ Chaalbaaz’ and ‘Kishen Kanhaiya’ (1990), respectively. But Janhvi is not going to model her performance on her mother at all. She will do her own thing,” Deccan Chronicle reports a source reveal.

Apparently, whispers were doing the rounds that father Boney Kapoor was told to advise his daughter not to take on such a project so early on in her career. However it looks like Kapor junior is all set and ready to prove them wrong.
