Janhvi Kapoor is expectedly ecstatic with the success of her debut film ‘Dhadak’ (2018). Being the daughter of a legendary actress like Sridevi meant comparisons were inevitable, and Kapoor reveals that she didn’t follow her mom’s style, nor shy away from it.

When asked if she was worried about the comparisons to her mom, Kapoor said, “I am not thinking about it at all. I neither followed her acting style nor tried to stay away from it in my Dhadak. Frankly, I have seen only five of my mothers films,” as according to India Today.

Kapoor also added that she cannot be picky, “I don’t think I am at a stage where I can pick and choose. Let’s see the kind of scripts that come to me. Of course, I’d love to play characters that challenge me as an actor. In fact, my mother always used to say, it’s not about the characters one plays, but how they are played.”

‘Dhadak’ was directed by Shashank Khaitan.
