‘Jagga Jasoos’ to be turned into franchise?

Franchises seem very popular in Bollywood and it seems one more might be added to the already existing ones out there. Anurag Basu’s ‘Jagga Jasoos’ is yet to release but the filmmaker is keen to turn it into a franchise, BizAsiaLive.com has learnt.

The Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif starrer reportedly sees the former solving cases. Basu, according to Box Office India, feels that the detective genre is as yet unexplored in B-town and he feels ‘Jagga Jasoos’ can therefore be carried forward. He’s thought to have an agreement that Kapoor will be starring in each of the forthcoming instalments.

The film’s first trailer, which was recently released, seemed to have divided the audiences. However, the filmmaker is very happy with the way the film has turned out. There will be a big marketing push starting next month as the film gears up for release in April.
