Rumours are doing the rounds that Jacqueline Fernandez has been signed to star opposite Salman Khan for the third instalment of the ‘ABCD’ franchise. Director Remo D’Souza has been trying to confirm an actress and looks like Fernandez has been locked.
Deccan Chronicle reports D’Souza approached Fernandez with the story idea and she is keen to sign on. “Salman starts Remo’s film right after he wraps up Tiger Zinda Hai. And the heroine has been finalised. Remo took his film to Jackie and she has liked the idea. She is out of the country, so once she’s back, he will sit down with her for a full script narration and lock her for the film”, reported a source.
The dance-genre franchise has garnered a great fan-base as it explores emotional stories with a dance background and it seems this instalment will be based on a father-daughter relationship. Khan will portray the father of a teenage daughter and Fernandez’s character will be the dance teacher that helps in their bonding for a dance championship. The film will see Khan playing a father for the first time and it is understood the superstar will undergo strict dance rehearsals ahead of starting shooting.
The film is scheduled to releases in Eid 2018 and no doubt with Khan’s presence, the franchise will continue to witness great success.
