Jacqueline Fernandez named in multi-crore money laundering case

Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez has been named an accused in a huge multi-crore money laundering case against conman Sukesh Chandrashekar.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) said she had received gifts worth Rs. 5.71 crore from Chandrashekar. Some of the items included a horse worth around Rs. 52 lakh and a Persian cat worth Rs. 9 lakh.

A statement by ED said, “Sukesh Chandrasekhar had given various gifts worth ₹ 5.71 crore to Jacqueline Fernandez from the proceeds of crime generated by criminal activities including extortion. Chandrasekhar had put Pinky Irani, his long time associate and co-accused in this case to deliver the said gifts to her.”

Chandrashekar faces charges of extortion amounting to a huge Rs. 200 crore.
