Jacqueline Fernandez funds new homes of Chennai flood victims

Jacqueline Fernandez is taking philanthropy very seriously. The Sri Lankan beauty has taken a great step towards helping the victims of Chennai floods.

According to Deccan Chronicle, Fernandez who has been vocal about lending support to those affected has now joined hands with an NGO, Habitat for Humanity, to help raise funds for the people. Her initiative is a part of her Tamil Nadu Flood Relief Campaign ‘Jacqueline Builds’. The actress will be involved in building houses for the victims on 9th April. She will also visit Panbai International School and meet the students there to appreciate their commendable efforts towards spreading awareness about her campaign.

The floods hit Tamil Nadu in November and December last year and led to loss of lives, assets, households and livelihood of the people.

On the professional front, Fernandez is currently shooting for her upcoming film ‘Dishoom’ with Varun Dhawan and John Abraham.
