Jackie Shroff has also jumped in Aamir Khan’s support over his intolerance remark saying in a country like India, where there is democracy, everyone has the right to freedom of expression.
The 58-year-old veteran said if people are observing anything wrong happening around them, they have every right to speak up.Shroff told PTI,“India is the biggest democracy. We have the right to say what we want to say and people have the right to protest. If there are things that some think are are wrong, then people have the right to speak up.”
Supporting his ‘Rangeela’ (1995) co-star Khan’s comments that his wife suggested they should move out of India following this hostile environment, Shroff said people should ask him why he said such a thing rather than jumping to hasty conclusions. “Ask them (referring to Aamir) why they said something like that before jumping to conclusions. Respect the person۪s view as that is also being tolerant,” concluded Shroff.
