Islamic channel Iqra TV makes Sky launch

An Islamic channel that has been broadcasting on the Sky Digital platform for several months has officially launched on the EPG today.

Located in London, Iqra TV aims to promote programmes with a universal appeal, covering subjects from the natural world, documentaries, community news, practical computers, business ideas, to talk shows, world cuisine to health issues.

According to its website, “Iqra TV aims to enhance community relations and cohesion at a time when there is a greater need for peace and understanding. As an Islamic educational TV station it broadcasts in multiple languages ensuring a wider spectrum of people from all walks and stages of life to be able to benefit from its enlightening contents.”

Iqra TV recently acquired an EPG slot from Channel S to launch on Sky Digital channel 826.
