Ishfaq Ahmed to head Club Asia Radio on DAB in Birmingham

A new radio station for the British Asian Community, Club Asia Radio, has announced former BBC Editor Ishfaq Ahmed as their Head of Operations.

Ahmed has over 30 years of experience within the radio industry, as one of the original creators of the first BBC national radio offering the Asian Network.

The press release from the company read, “Club Asia will offer listeners the chance to hear great music from all genres, with an underlying focus on British Asian identity through music and speech.”

Club Asia Radio is currently carrying out test transmission and will be available on DAB digital radio in Birmingham and mobile app.
