Is Maanyata Dutt really ailing?

As news broke that parole had been granted to Sanjay Dutt, the morning after has been a difficult one to fathom. Reports suggested that Dutt had been allowed parole since his wife, Maanyata, is unwell. However, she was recently spotted at a function partying prompting questions about whether Dutt really should have gotten parole.

Maanyata’s doctor has said that she is suffering from heart and liver ailment, as he told IANS, “She has complained of chest pain and sudden weight loss. During tests we detected a large tumour growth on her liver”. It is thought that it has been suggested to Maanyata to have an angiography.

Dutt is serving a 42-month sentence but his parole has been granted but he has not been signed off as yet. With such uncertainty about the situation, the police will be verifying the health of Maanyata before letting Dutt out for the reports 30-day long period.
