Over the years, many Bollywood actors have attempted to balance their work in India with work in the west. Irrfan Khan, an actor who has undoubtedly managed to do so most successfully, hopes to change the way the west perceive Bollywood.
Speaking to Hindustan Times, Khan said, “People in the west have a broad image about Bollywood that we are all about the song and dance routine and I hope it changes. I would love to change that.”
Khan went on to mention how some films, including ‘The Lunchbox’ (2014) and ‘Piku’ (2015) which he starred in, are slowly helping change the perception of Bollywood in the west.
The actor’s last international project was ‘Jurassic World’ (2015) and he can now be seen directed by Sanjay Gupta in this week’s Bollywood offering, ‘Jazbaa’.
