Irrfan Khan takes out 48 hours to attend premiere

If this piece of news is anything to go by then Irrfan Khan definitely deserves to be called dedicated. News has it that the actor will take out 48 hours out of his time from working in Lithuania, to fly to Toronto via Mumbai, to attend the world premiere of his forthcoming film ‘Talvar’, and fly back again.

Khan has been shooting a mini Japanese series in Lithuania titled ”The Tokyo Trials’. A source close to the actor was revealed by Mumbai Mirror stating, “Irrfan is flying down to Mumbai and reaches Toronto on September 10 for the premiere. The same night, he will fly back to Lithuania.”

Based on the events, ‘The Tokyo Trials’ tells the story of the investigations that took place of crimes committed during and after Work War 2 in the Pacific. Co-directed by Rob W King and Pieter Verhoeff, Khan will be seen playing a pivotal role in the series.

Reports have it that ‘Talvar’ is also set to premier at the British Film Institute (BFI) -London Film Festival as well as the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF).

Talking about the film being premiered around the world, Khan was reported stating, “It is an honour to get invited to these film festivals across the world. It’s euphoric to get such an amazing response to the film which is really close to my heart even before it release.”

Helmed by Meghna Gulzar, ‘Talvar’ will also star Konkona Sen Sharma and Tabu.
