Irrfan Khan signed for Ridley Scott’s next?

Already having explored another world with films like ‘Alien’ (1979) Hollywood film maker Ridley Scott is set to make another Alien film, and news has it that he is keen on getting actor Irrfan Khan to play a role in the film.

According to Mumbai Mirror, Scott had wanted Khan to play a role in his recent release ‘The Martian’ (2015) which stars Matt Damon. However due to Khan’s shooting schedules for other projects he could not match the dates. Reports even state that the author of the book Andy Weirs, that the film is adapted from, wanted only Khan to play the role of the scientist. “My first and only choice was Irrfan Khan. He had to back out due to a Bollywood contract conflict just three weeks before our shooting began,” Weirs was reported stating. So now Scott seems determined to get the actor on board for his forthcoming ‘Alien: Paradise Lost’.

Set to release in 2017, Scott is planning to start shooting in January 2016. Here’s hoping Khan will be able to get on board with this one.
