Irrfan Khan all set to essay romantic roles?

Irrfan Khan has often been stereotyped into serious roles onscreen. However the actor, known to be one of the finest in the business, is all set to play romantic roles in three of his upcoming films.

Hindustan Times quote a source saying, “In his next three movies, his characters will lean towards romance. He has signed a project with Abhinay Deo, and though the movie is a dark comedy, Irrfan’s role will be somewhat romantic. In another movie, which is being directed by Tanuja Chandra and stars Richa Chadha, he will play a romantic role again, as the film is a romantic comedy. That project will be followed by ‘Hindi Medium’, which also belongs to a similar genre and features Pakistani actor Saba Qamar.”

Earlier this year, Khan was seen in ‘Madaari’ and ‘Inferno’, both of which he had quite serious roles in. It can be noted, however, that he has previously essayed a light and somewhat romantic role in ‘Piku’ (2015) which won him much appreciation.
