Iqbal Khan confirmed for Colors’ ‘Dil Se Dil Tak’

Popular television star, Iqbal Khan has been confirmed as a new addition in Colors’ fiction ‘Dil Se Dil Tak’.

Khan, who recently entered Star Bharat’ show ‘Kaal Bhairav Rahasya’ as the antagonist, will feature in ‘Dil Se Dil Tak’ for a brief appearance.

Incidentally, his on-screen name on ‘Dil Se Dil Tak’ will also be Iqbal. He told Times Of India, “After the narration, I asked the producers for the name of the character and they said it’s Iqbal.” He added, “It’s a positive character, something like that of Salman Khan in ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ with Irrfan’s mannerisms in ‘Hindi Medium’. It’s always interesting to romance on screen as it connects with the audience instantly. There has to be a dose of drama, but mushy moments lend a feel-good factor to a show.”

Apparently, Khan was initially set for the lead role of Parth on the show when Sidharth Shukla walked away. However, due to issues, the role was then handed to Rohan Gandotra.

Incidentally, Khan’s previous show ‘Tumhaari Paakhi’ has been working wonders in its re-run slot on Star Plus UK.
