IPL TV and digital rights combined to pass Rs. 42,000 crore
The combined value of the Indian Premier League rights for TV and digital platforms has surpassed Rs. 42,000 crore for the next period (2023 – 2027).
The rights e-auction, which began on Sunday, will see four packages being bid for including 74 games per season for a five-year period.
Sources say that the per match price for TV and digital has now crossed Rs. 100 crore.
Disney Star currently holds the global rights for the lucrative tournament.
