The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the sale of the Indian Premier League (IPL) rights for the USA territory.

It has has issued an Invitation to Tender inviting Bids from reputed companies and other entities of national and international standing to acquire Media Rights to The Indian Premier League 2015 to 2017 (inclusive).

The detailed terms relating to the scope of rights and obligations are set out in the ITT. Any party interested in obtaining a copy of the ITT for the purpose of submitting a Bid may send a request letter which must be on its official letterhead and signed by an authorized signatory to the BCCI and emailed to marketing@bcci.tv The letter must (a) state the line of business the Party is primarily engaged in; and (b) provide the name, designation and email address of the official to whom a copy of the ITT is requested to be emailed.

The deadline for submission of Bids is 18:00 EST on Friday 27th February 2015.

Recently, Star India bagged the online media rights for Rs 302.2 crore (Rs 3.02 billion). In the UK, Sky Sports holds the rights for the lucrative tournament, while Multi Screen Media is the exclusive rights holder in India.
