Interim stay on trial granted against Sooraj Pancholi in Jiah Khan case

News has is that an interim stay on trial has been granted against actor Sooraj Pancholi in the Jiah Khan case by Bombay High Court.

According to��Deccan Chronicle, Khan’s mother, Rabia Khan, issued a petition which argues the Central Bureau of Investigation’s reported which marked Jiah Khan’s death as a suicide, instead of homicide.

The mother of the actress believes that Pancholi was the reason of Khan taking her own life on June 3 2013, and with the actor having been granted bail when he was arrested, she feels that the court should have taken the investigation further.

R V More and V L Achiliya, who make up the division bench of justices informed the CBI to issue their��affidavit in reply to the petition.

The petition stated, “The CBI has not concluded the investigation in its real spirit and has closed the investigation without making any serious efforts to unearth the issues as are involved in the death of the deceased. In fact, they have been misleading both the petitioner and the US Consulate about the direction of the investigation.”

The petition also talks about having the��Federal Bureau of Investigation to support the��Special Investigating Team to get to the bottom of the case, as Jiah Khan was a US citizen.
