Indra Kumar full of praise for Ajay Devgn

With the excitement of the third instalment of the ‘Dhamaal’ franchise, film maker Indra Kumar has been full of praise for his lead Ajay Devgn. With a whole host of comedies under his belt, Kumar expressed how he couldn’t have made ‘Total Dhamaal’ without Devgn’s involvement.

When asked about the actor Mumbai Mirror reports Kumar stating, “A talented actor like Ajay can be moulded repeatedly in different ways. He has been around for three decades and given us many comedies, but no two films of his have been alike. This film too will present him in a never-seen-before avatar. Without his support, Total Dhamaal, wouldn’t have been made, as he is involved both creatively and financially. He will continue to be a part of this franchise from heron.”

The film will also star Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit Nene, which has bought on its own excitement. Talking of working with Dixit in particular again, Kumar expressed, “I have directed Madhuri in films like ‘Dil’ (1990), ‘Beta’(1992) and ‘Raja’ (1995) and I still see her in the same space. I have always presented her like never before and this trend will continue with ‘Total Dhamaal’ as well. The Script allows her to dance, gives her quirky one-liners and lets her add glamour to the film. She is romantically paired with Anil which adds to the excitement.”

There had been rumours that Sanjay Dutt would be part of the project, however, it seems things didn’t work out. “I had approached Sanjay but he didn’t have combination dates as he was doing five films.”

Also starring Arshad Warsi, Riteish Deshmukh and Boman Irani, ‘Total Dhamaal’ is set to hit the big screen on 22nd February.
