Indira Varma joins cast of ‘Doctor Who’

Indira Varma has been confirmed as the latest addition in the cast of ‘Doctor Who’.

Without divulging much details about her character, it is reported that she will play a “mysterious” character known as The Duchess.

The shooting of the new series is currently underway. It features Ncuti Gatwa as The Doctor and Millie Gibson as new companion Ruby Sunday.

Varma said, “I’m thrilled to be in Doctor Who and particularly excited to be crossing cosmic paths with Ncuti, as The Doctor, and look forward to creating interplanetary mischief with him.”
