Indian government in search for historians to review ‘Padmavati’?

With the issue of the release of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’ still in trouble, it seems the Indian government is looking for ways in which to improve the situation so that the film can finally release. News has it that those on Modi’s government will reach out to historians to review the film pre-release, as a ploy to approve the film.

According to Deccan Chronicle, Central Board of Film Certification has requested the government to bring forward historians who are well versed with the story of Queen Padmavati, and in particular it’s ballad by 16th century poet Malik Muhammad Jayasi, in which Bhansali has based his film from.

The historians will be a part of the censor board panel when reviewing the film, which will once and for all enable the to depict whether the film reflects the epic tale in the right way or not.

Starring Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh, here’s hoping this will be the end of the film’s long battle in getting released.
