The only entry to represent India in the ‘Best Foreign Language Film’ category at Oscars 2019, ‘Village Rockstars’, is no longer in the race for the coveted title.

The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Science, announced on Monday that nine films had advanced to the next stage of voting in the category and that ‘Village Rockstars’ and Iram Haq’s Norwegian film ‘What Will People Say’ featuring a number of Indian actors, will no longer be in the race.
