Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh to make his acting debut in ‘Friendship’

Former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh, best known for his off-spin on the pitch, is all set to make his acting debut on the big screen. It’s also the first time a cricketer will be seen as the main lead.

Reported by TOI, Singh will be starring in a lead role in the Tamil movie titled ‘Friendship’, co-directed by John Paul Raj and Sham Surya.

Earlier, the makers of the film tweeted their announcement along with the the first look poster of the film, which shows two hands handcuffed and what looks like a riot-scenario on an empty cricket ground in front of them, “For the first time in Indian cinema. Indian cricketer @harbhajan_singh will be the playing lead role in the upcoming #Friendship Movie. This “2020” is Will be Unexpected!!! And its going to Spin Worldwide. Stay excited with us for more updates”.

The remaining cast has not yet been confirmed, but fans of Singh are ecstatic about the news announced today.
