Indiacast to distribute Turner International channels

After reports yesterday that ZEE Entertainment Enterprise Limited and Turner International India will be going their separate ways after nearly 20 years, its now emerged that Turner could be tying up a strategic deal with Indiacast for distribution.

BizAsiaLive.com understands that Indiacast will become the exclusive distributor of Turner channels from 1st April. The channels under the Turner umbrella include CNN International, Cartoon Network, POGI, Toonami and HBO. Indiacast operates Viacom18 channels, along with TV18 and Eenadu Television channels.

ZEEL and Turner confirmed yesterday that they will be ending their partnership. They said they “have mutually decided to work independently for driving subscription Revenues.”
