India relaxes Covid-19 travel rules for international passengers

The India government has relaxed coronavirus travel rules for arriving international passengers.

Effective immediately, self-declarations for coronavirus vaccinations, which were mandatory on arrival to India via the Air Suvidha portal, will no longer be required.

A notice from the Civil Aviation ministry said, “In the light of sustained declining COVID-19 trajectory and significant advances being made in COVID-19 vaccination coverage both globally as well as in India, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare has issued revised ‘Guidelines for International Arrivals.”

Up until now, the Air Suvidha form was mandatory on arrival. It declared the vaccination status of passengers.
