India ratings: ZEE TV returns to No.2 spot

With the IPL over, Hindi entertainment channels can breathe a sigh of relief and return back to normality.

According to official data for TAM for Week 22 of 2012, Star Plus remained the market leader with 272 GRPs this week (last week 266).

The changes come in the second place with last week’s number two, Sony Entertainment Television Asia slipping to fourth place and ZEE TV regaining the second position. ‘Dance India Dance Lil Masters’ was the best performing show and boosted the channel’s performance. It delivered 233 GRPs (last week 218).

Meanwhile, the launch of new series ‘Madhubala’ has clicked well with audiences. Its launch week averaged at 2.8 TVR – emerging as the highest rated fiction launch this year. Colors ratings increased to 221 GRPs this week (last week 201).

Sony TV has witnessed a loss this week of 14 GRPs. The channel has fetched 205 GRPs (last week 219).

SAB TV was in fifth with 121 GRPs against last week�۪s 115 GRPs.

Life OK continued in sixth with 112 GRPs this week (last week 113).

Sahara One delivered 42 GRPs this week (last week 41).
