India ratings: ZEE TV pushes Colors to third

ZEE TV is celebrating after dislodging Colors from the second spot and pushing it to third in the latest round of India ratings, according to audience measuring body TAM.

Data for Week 9 of 2011 shows ZEE TV gaining 23 GRPs to reach 233 GRPs (up from last week’s 210). Meanwhile, Colors has suffered a loss of 58 GRPs and this after Colors came close to overtaking Star Plus from the top last week. Colors recorded 225 GRPs as compared to 283 in the last week.

Star Plus remained on the top but well below the 300 mark. It mustered in 297 GRPs this week (last week 299).

In another shocking development this week, Sony Entertainment Television Asia was pushed to fifth after its sister station SAB TV added 19 points to 153 GRPs this week (last week 134). Sony TV could only manage 136 GRPs (last week 143).

Imagine TV delivered 71 GRPs (last week 75).
