India ratings: ZEE TV overtakes STAR Plus

In what will be seen as yet another significant move in the Hindi entertainment channel space; ZEE TV has overtaken STAR Plus in the Indian ratings, according to TAM.

Official figures from the audience measuring body for Week 40 showed ZEE TV’s figures leapfrog STAR Plus by 15 GRPs. ZEE TV sits comfortably at number two with 251 GRPs, while STAR Plus settles for three with 236 GRPs.

There was no budging Colors from the top though. The channel, which continues to perform well without the help of ‘Bigg Boss’ in this week, saw the channel garner 270 GRPs.

Sony Entertainment Television Asia was unchanged at number four with 148 GRPs, NDTV Imagine with 102 GRPs and SAB TV was sixth with 64 GRPs.
