India ratings: ZEE TV finally back on the up
ZEE TV was back in the race of the India TV ratings game after gaining 32 GRPs in the latest round of TAM viewership ratings.
According to data for Week 46 of 2011, ZEE TV remained fourth in the pecking order but managed to record 175 GRPs this week (last week 143).
Star Plus remained on top despite losing 25 GRPs in the week. It recorded 310 GRPs (last week 335). Sony Entertainment Television Asia continues to sit firmly at number two with 260 GRPs this week (last week 287). It lost 27 GRPs from last week. Rounding off the Top 3 channels was Colors with 235 GRPs this week (last week 240).
The bottom tier consisted of SAB TV recording 124 GRPs (last week 121) and Imagine TV at sixth with 71 GRPs this week (last week 70).
The top five shows of this week included ‘Saathiya’ at the top with 6.2 TVR, followed by ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ with 5.3 TVR, ‘Balika Vadhu’ in third with 5.3 TVR, ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ in fourth with 3.8 TVR and a tie in fifth with ‘Bade Achche Lagte Hain’, ‘Pratigya’ and ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ all sharing a 3.5 TVR.
