India ratings: Top three end on a high note
The big three Hindi entertainment channels ended the year on a high note with an increase in viewership, according to figures by TAM for Week 52 of 2010.
Star Plus grabbed the biggest share of the pie with 368 GRPs, Colors was next with 290 GRPs and ZEE TV jumped back to number three with 231 GRPs. ZEE TV’s ratings have been pushed thanks to the telecast of the ‘ZEE Rishtey Awards’ last weekend.
Sony Entertainment Television Asia, which had been comfortable in the third position for the past couple of weeks slipped to 179 GRPs while SAB TV was steady at 146 GRPs.
Imagine TV also lost some points to 83 GRPs.
It remains to be seen if the new year starts like it ended especially with Colors bidding adieu to ‘Bigg Boss’ in the first week of January and ZEE TV relaunching its popular series ‘Chhoti Bahu’ and ‘Dance India Dance’.
