India Ratings: Star Plus & ZEE Anmol continue to lead

Star Plus continued to lead in the Urban market, while ZEE Anmol was the most watched Hindi entertainment channel in the Rural region, according to Week 33 of 2018 data from BARC India.

In the Urban market, Star Plus delivered 452.933 million Impressions – down from last week’s 486.654 million Impressions. It was followed in the pecking order by Colors with 400.613 million Impressions and ZEE TV with 355.705 million Impressions. At No.4 was Sony Entertainment Television with 340.689 million Impressions and Sony SAB TV with 330.276 million Impressions.

The top shows in the Urban market were ‘Naagin 3’ on Colors with 9.919 million Impressions, followed by ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ on Star Plus with 8.152 million Impressions and ‘Dance Deewane’ on Colors with 8.035 million Impressions.

In the Rural market, ZEE Anmol led with 599.647 million Impressions, followed by Star Utsav with 500.096 million Impressions and Sony Pal with 438.408 million Impressions. Rishtey was in fourth place with 385.097 million Impressions and Dangal at No.5 with 321.624 million Impressions.

The top shows in the Rural market were ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ on ZEE Anmol with 8.982 million Impressions, followed by ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ on Sony Pal with 6.381 million Impressions and ‘Rabba Ve’ on Star Utsav with 6.321 million Impressions.

In the combined Urban and Rural regions data, ZEE Anmol was the biggest Hindi entertainment channel with 760.162 million Impressions, followed by Star Utsav with 702.233 million Impressions and Star Plus with 659.629 million Impressions. In fourth place was Sony Pal with 616.717 million Impressions and Star Bharat next with 613.947 million Impressions.

The top shows in the combined markets were ‘Naagin 3’ on Colors with 14.905 million Impressions, followed by ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ on ZEE Anmol with 12.529 million Impressions and ‘Dance Deewane’ on Colors with 11.706 million Impressions.
