India ratings: Star Plus storms ahead of rivalsStar Plus remains the undisputed market leader by extending its lead from rival channels, according to latest data from TAM.
Star Plus was the most watched Hindi entertainment channel during the 16th and 22nd October period. It garnered 317 GRPs ( last week 292). The channel’s new show ‘Masterchef India’ only managed to open up with a TVR of 2.0.
Sony Entertainment Television Asia remained a comfortable number two with 258 GRPs (last week 257). During this week the channel premiered movie ‘Murder 2’ which collected 2.0 and 1.9 TVR for the two times it was broadcast. The much hyped episode of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ featuring Shah Rukh Khan registered a huge 4.0 TVR.
Colors was in third with 218 (last week 208). Its reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ is now averaging at 1.5 TVR.
ZEE TV finally went up in the ratings but remained in fourth. It collected 155 GRPs (last week 139).
SAB TV remained steady with 121 GRPs (last week 123). Imagine TV was up slightly with 69 GRPs (last week 64).
In terms of shows, ‘Saathiya’ remained on top with 6.2 TVR, ‘Balika Vadhu’ in second with 4.3, ‘KBC’ featuring Shah Rukh Khan was in third with 4.0, ‘Bade Achche Lagte Hain’ was in fourth with 3.9 and ‘CID’ was in fifth with 3.8.
