India ratings: Star Plus rules over past ten weeks

Star Plus ruled the ratings in India over the past ten weeks, according to official data from Indian viewership body, TAM.

While Colors occupies the numero uno position in Week 50 (15th December 2012), Star Plus was on top for five weeks, Colors was number one for two weeks and Sony Entertainment Television Asia was leading for two weeks. Digitally, Colors has been number one for the past one month, ZEE TV has been sitting in second place.

Star Plus led the Hindi entertainment genre with an average GRPs of 250.4 starting Week 41 (Sunday 7th October) and ending Week 50 (15th December 2012). The channel touched a high of 285 GRPs in Week 45. It’s lowest performance was in Weeks 46 and 47 touching 230.

Colors touched an average 231.9 GRPs during the ten weeks. It has been number one for the past two weeks and also in Week 47. It touched a peak with 267 GRPs. Its low was in Week 46 with 210 GRPs.

Sony Entertainment Television Asia was in third with 215 GRPs and topped the chart twice in Week 46 with 249 GRPs and in Week 43 with 255 GRPs. Its lowest performance was in Week 42 with 200 GRPs.

ZEE TV averaged 192.7 GRPs and stood at number four. It touched a high of 218 GRPs in Week 49 and a low of 182 GRPs in Week 46.

Sony SAB TV was placed at number five with an average rating of 142.6 GRPs. Its highest performance was 152 GRPs in Week 45 and lowest 132 GRPs in Week 43.

Star Life Ok was in sixth during the past ten weeks with an average of 130.7 GRPs. It went up to five in Weeks 43 and 44.

Sahara One was the least performer with just an average of 24.3 GRPs. The channel could not pass the 30 GRPs mark during the past ten weeks.
