India Ratings: Star Plus returns to No.1 in Urban region

Star Plus continued its ratings surge in India and re-claimed the No.1 position in the Urban region, according to BARC India data for Week 31 of 2018.

Star Plus delivered 450.504 million Impressions, pushing former No.1 Colors down to No.2 with 417.425 million Impressions and ZEE TV in third with 401.427 million Impressions. At No.4 was Sony Entertainment Television with 365.339 million Impressions and Sony SAB TV in fifth with 345.253 million Impressions.

The biggest shows in the Urban region were ‘Naagin 3’ on Colors with 10.794 million Impressions, followed by ‘Kundali Bhagya’ on ZEE TV with 8.025 million Impressions and ‘Dance Deewane’ on Colors in third with 7.722 million Impressions.

In the Rural region, ZEE Anmol was the biggest Hindi entertainment channel with 512.949 million Impressions, followed by Star Utsav with 476.194 million Impressions and Sony Pal in third with 404.831 million Impressions. Rishtey rose to No.4 with 388.943 million Impressions and Star Bharat in fifth with 322.204 million Impressions.

The biggest shows in the Rural region were ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ on ZEE Anmol with 9.351 million Impressions, followed by ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ on Sony Pal with 6.426 million Impressions and ‘Raaba Ve’ on Star Utsav with 6.196 million Impressions.

In combined Urban and Rural data, Star Utsav claimed victory by taking the top spot with 672.028 million Impressions, followed by ZEE TV with 662.938 million Impressions and ZEE Anmol in third with 652.641 million Impressions. At No.4 was Star Bharat with 638.043 million Impressions and Star Plus moved up to No.5 with 629.941 million Impressions.

The biggest shows in the combined data were ‘Naagin 3’ on Colors with 16.677 million Impressions, followed by ‘Kundali Bhagya’ on ZEE TV with 13.148 million Impressions and ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ on ZEE TV with 12.800 million Impressions.
