India ratings: Star Plus returns to No.1 in Urban market


Star Plus toppled Colors in latest India ratings from BARC for the Urban market, according to data for Week 32 of 2017.

The channel registered 399.274 million Impressions, just slightly ahead of Colors, which raked in 394.085 million Impressions and ZEE TV in third with 362.506 million Impressions. Sony Entertainment Television stayed at No.4 with 293.977 million Impressions and Sony SAB TV next with 291.129 million Impressions.

The top rated show in the Urban market was ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa – Lil Champs’ on ZEE TV with 7.365 million Impressions, followed by ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’ on Colors with 6.903 million Impressions and ‘Shakti’ also on Colors with 6.134 million Impressions.

In the Rural market, ZEE Anmol remained on top with 522.050 million Impressions, followed by Sony Pal with 398.208 million Impressions and Rishtey next with 369.166 million Impressions. ZEE TV was at No.4 with 245.837 million Impressions and Star Utsav in fifth with 231.605 million Impressions.

The top rated show in the Rural market was ‘Jamai Raja’ on ZEE Anmol with 7.267 million Impressions, followed by ‘Baalveer’ on Sony Pal with 5.277 million Impressions and ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ on Sony Pal with 4.859 million Impressions.

In combined Urban and Rural markets data, ZEE Anmol was top with 665.948 million Impressions, followed by ZEE TV with 608.343 million Impressions and Star Plus next with 586.614 million Impressions.
