India ratings: Star Plus retains No.1 in Urban market

Star Plus held on to the No.1 position in the Urban region, according to official data from BARC for Week 2 of 2017.

The channel delivered 470.255 million Impressions, followed by Colors closely behind with 468.745 million Impressions and Sony Entertainment Television in third place with 299.026 million Impressions. In fourth was Sony SAB TV with 261.690 million Impressions and ZEE TV in fifth with 258.498 million Impressions.

The top rated programme in the Urban region was ‘Naagin – Season 2’ on Colors with 8.414 million Impressions, followed by ‘Shakti’ on Colors with 7.054 million Impressions and ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ on ZEE TV with 6.888 million Impressions.

Rishtey was the most watched Hindi entertainment channel in the Rural region with 336.209 million Impressions, followed by Star Utsav with 298.079 million Impressions and ZEE Anmol in third with 261.526 million Impressions. At No.4 was Sony Pal with 247.342 million Impressions and Colors in fifth with 199.204 million Impressions.

The top rated programme in the Rural region was ‘Naagin – Season 1’ on Rishtey delivered 8.735 million Impressions, followed by ‘Naagin – Season 2’ on Colors with 4.599 million Impressions and at No.3 was ‘Baalveer’ on Sony Pal with 4.384 million Impressions.
