Star Plus remained India’s most watched Hindi entertainment channel across India (Urban and Rural combined), according to official data for Week 29 of 2017 from BARC India.

Combined data put Star Plus on top with 680.622 million Impressions, closely followed by ZEE TV with 680.150 million Impressions and ZEE Anmol in third with 614.609 million Impressions.

In the Urban data, Star Plus held on to top with 435.105 million Impressions, followed by ZEE TV 380.171 million Impressions and Colors in third 345.848 million Impressions. Sony Entertainment Television moved up to No.4 with 288.465 million Impressions and Sony SAB TV in fifth with 284.606 million Impressions.

The top rated show in the Urban region was ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa – Lil Champs’ on ZEE TV with 7632 million Impressions, followed by ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ on ZEE TV with 6040 million Impressions and ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ on Star Plus with 5952 million Impressions.

In the Rural data, ZEE Anmol was top Hindi entertainment channel with 480.526 million Impressions, followed by Rishtey with 444.059 million Impressions and Sony Pal in third with 412.847 million Impressions. ZEE TV was in fourth with 251.876 million Impressions and Star Utsav in fifth with 212.020 million Impressions.

The top rated show in the Rural region was ‘Naagin – Season 2’ on Rishtey with 8199 million Impressions, followed by ‘Jamai Raja’ on ZEE Anmol with 5389 million Impressions and ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ on Sony SAB TV with 4961 million Impressions.
