India ratings: Star Plus record leads continue at top

‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ brings in record viewership

Star Plus continued to lead in the India ratings and extended its lead by a huge record, according to official data from TAM for Week 18 of 2014.

Despite the juggernaut Indian Premier League (IPL) denting viewership on most Hindi entertainment channels, Star Plus remained the clear leader with 746 TVM this week. Its share was up to 30.21% (last week 743 TVM with 29.51% relative share).

ZEE TV lost the most amount of viewers this week and slipped to 409 GTVM with a relative share of 16.57% (last week 445 TVM and 17.67% relative share).

Colors was in third but dropped to a low of 396 TVM and a relative share of 16.04% (last week 423 TVM with 16.80% relative share).

Star Life Ok was close behind Colors with 360 TVM and a relative share of 14.58% (last week 350 TVM and 13.90%). It was just 36 points behind Colors.

Sony Entertainment Television Asia was in fifth place with 291 TVM with a relative share of 11.79% (last week 297 TVM and 11.80% relative share).

Sony SAB TV was in sixth adding on last week’s ratings with 267 TVM and share of 10.81% (last week 260 TVM and 10.33% relative share).

In terms of shows, ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ remained the most watched show in India with 12.2 TVM, followed by ‘Jodha Akbar on ZEE TV with 9.1 TVM and ‘Saathiya’ in third with 8.9 TVM. ‘Comedy Nights With Kapil’ was the most watched show at the weekend with 7.2 TVM and ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’ next with 6.6 TVM.
