India ratings: STAR Plus on top; Sony TV falls

The latest round of Indian viewership data is out and it shows STAR Plus regaining the numero uno position as India’s leading Hindi entertainment channel.

According to TAM data for Week 12 of 2010, STAR Plus rocketed to the top with 315 GRPs. Last week’s number one, Colors could only manage 291 GRPs. ZEE TV remained in third place with 252 GRPs.

In the middle tier, Sony Entertainment Television Asia took a bit of a tumble. Falling from 157 GRPs last week to 114 GRPs this week. Imagine TV also witnessed a drop of 10 GRPs since last week to 99 GRPs.

In the bottom tier, SAB TV managed a respectable 83 GRPs.
