India Ratings: Star Plus moves up to No.2 in Urban

Star Plus overtook ZEE TV in the Urban sector of India television ratings, according to Week 1 of 2018 data from BARC.

Colors remained the No.1 Hindi entertainment channel in the Urban region with 439.287 million Impressions, followed by Star Plus with 385.880 million Impressions and ZEE TV with 350.649 million Impressions. Star Bharat was placed in fourth place with 331.958 million Impressions and Sony Entertainment Television was at No.5 with 297.308 million Impressions.

The top rated show in the Urban region was ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ on Sony SAB TV with 6.961 million Impressions, followed by ‘Kundali Bhagya’ on ZEE TV with 6.930 million Impressions and ‘Super Dancer’ on Sony Entertainment Television with 6.495 million Impressions.

In the Rural region, ZEE Anmol occupied the No.1 position with 513.567 million Impressions, followed by Star Utsav with 396.160 million Impressions and Sony Pal in third with 378.521 million Impressions. Star Bharat was at No.4 with 346.269 million Impressions and Rishtey in fifth with 323.827 million Impressions.

The top rated show in the Rural region was ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ on ZEE Anmol with 7.911 million Impressions, followed by ‘Tere Naal Ishq’ on Rishtey with 6.528 million Impressions and ‘Baalveer’ on Sony Pal with 6.350 million Impressions.

In the combined Urban and Rural data, ZEE Anmol was back on top with 685.344 million Impressions, followed by Star Bharat with 678.228 million Impressions and Colors with 598.060 million Impressions. ZEE TV was placed in fourth with 569.854 million Impressions and Sony Pal with 557.297 million Impressions.

The top rated show in the combined region was ‘Kundali Bhagya’ on ZEE Anmol with 11.181 million Impressions, followed by ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ on ZEE TV with 10.554 million Impressions and ‘Super Dancer’ on Sony TV with 10.042 million Impressions.
