India ratings: Star Plus jumps up further

Star Plus zoomed ahead in latest India ratings in the Urban region, with a widening gap from second placed Colors.

According to official data from BARC India for Week 35 of 2016, Star Plus reigned with 508 million Impressions, followed by Colors with 368 million Impressions and ZEE TV in third with 342 million Impressions. In fourth place was SAB TV with 280 million Impressions and Sony Entertainment Television with 273 million Impressions in fifth.

The next tier consisted of Life Ok with 268 million Impressions, followed by &TV with 159 million Impressions, ZEE Anmol with 122 million Impressions, Star Utsav with 108 million Impressions and Sony Pal with 99 million Impressions.

In the top rated shows in the Urban market, ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ on ZEE TV stayed top with 7.5 million Impressions, followed by ‘Saathiya’ on Star Plus with 7.1 million Impressions and ZEE TV’s ‘Brahmarakshas’ was in third with 6.6 million Impressions.

In the Rural market, ZEE Anmol held on to No.1 with 396 million Impressions, followed by Star Utsav with 332 million Impressions and Sony Pal remained third with 290 million Impressions. In fourth place was ZEE TV with 256 million Impressions and Star Plus climbed to fifth with 253 million Impressions.
