India ratings: Star Plus ends 2012 on top
Star Plus ended 2012 the way it started – on top! According to latest data from TAM India for Week 52, Star Plus delivered 245 GRPs this week (last week 231).
Star Plus’ new dance show ‘Nach Baliye 5’ opened with a 4.1 TVR on Saturday 29th December – one of the best non-fiction launches on Star Plus in the last three years.
Colors was next with an additional 15 GRPs to record 238 GRPs this week (last week 223). It was helped by the Grand Finale of ‘SurKshetra’, which got the channel 1.6 TVR on Saturday 29th December.
ZEE TV and Sony Entertainment Television Asia were in third with 198 GRPs. ZEE TV slipped from 226 GRPs last week, while the latter climbed up the chart from 193 GRPs.
Sony SAB TV recorded 157 GRPs – an additional 14 points since last week’s 143.
Star Life Ok was in sixth with 110 GRPs (last week 144).
Meanwhile, ‘Balika Vadhu’ was the most watched show with 5.2 TRPs, followed by ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ with 4.6 TRPs, ZEE TV’s ‘Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke’ delivered 4.4 TRPs, ‘Saath Nibhana Saathiya’ was in fourth alongside ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ both with 4.3 TRPs and fifth was Sony SAB TV’s ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ with 4.1 TRPs.
