India ratings: Star Plus & Colors up during New Years

Star Plus and Colors were back up in the latest India TV ratings, mainly benefiting from their New Years Eve offerings.

According to official data from TAM for Week 1 of 2015, Star Plus registered 654 GVTM, up from 596 GVTM last week. Its ‘Big Star Entertainment Awards’ did very well on New Years Eve. Similarly, Colors shot up from 492 GVTM to 520 GVTM. Its New Years Eve show ‘Got World Talent Stage’ proved a hit in the ratings. ZEE TV was in third place with 430 GVTM (last week 427 GVTM).

Life Ok was in fourth place 338 GVTM (last week 329 GVTM), while SAB TV edged closer to Life Ok from 320 GVTM to 335 GVTM this week. Sony Entertainment Television Asia was up from 237 GVTM to 264 GVTM.

In the bottom tier, Big Magic was down from 63 GVTM to 61 GVTM, Zindagi registered 28 GVTM, Sony Pal with 26 GVTM and Epic up slightly to 6 GVTM.
