India Ratings: Star Plus climbs to No.2 in Urban region

After weeks of hovering at the No.3 position, Star Plus pushed back ZEE TV to take the No.2 position in latest India television ratings for the Urban region, according to data for Week 29 of 2018.

Colors remained the No.1 Hindi entertainment channel with 418.591 million Impressions, followed by Star Plus with 373.801 million Impressions and ZEE TV in third with 361.820 million Impressions. At No.4 was Sony SAB TV with 341.484 million Impressions and Sony Entertainment Television with 330.386 million Impressions.

The top rated show in the Urban sector was ‘Naagin 3’ on Colors with 9.916 million Impressions, followed by ‘Kundali Bhagya’ on ZEE TV with 7.788 million Impressions and ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ on ZEE TV with 7.252 million Impressions.

ZEE Anmol was the biggest Hindi entertainment channel in the Rural sector with 559.499 million Impressions, followed by Star Utsav with 405.904 million Impressions and Sony Pal in third with 405.547 million Impressions. In fourth place was Rishtey with 337.599 million Impressions, followed by Star Bharat with 305.763 million Impressions.

The top rated show in the Rural sector was ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ on ZEE Anmol with 8.848 million Impressions, followed by ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ on Sony Pal with 6.465 million Impressions and ‘Zindagi Ki Mehek’ on ZEE Anmol with 6.317 million Impressions.

In combined data for Urban and Rural regions, ZEE Anmol was the biggest channel with 715.928 million Impressions, followed by ZEE TV with 612.711 million Impressions and Colors at No.3 with 608.701 million Impressions. In fourth was Star Bharat with 591.833 million Impressions and Sony Pal with 586.868 million Impressions.

The top rated show in the combined data was ‘Naagin 3’ on Colors with 15.466 million Impressions, followed by ‘Kundali Bhagya’ on ZEE TV with 13.238 million Impressions and ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ on ZEE TV with 12.298 million Impressions.
