India ratings: Sony TV remains second for a month

Sony Entertainment Television Asia remains India’s second most watched Hindi entertainment channel for four consecutive weeks, according to data for Week 37 of 2011.

Star Plus was the only gainer this week with an extra seven points. The channel has recorded 307 GRPs this week (last week 300).

Sony TV registered 243 GRPs (last week 258), with its flagship gameshow ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ the second most watched show in India with a 4.8 TVR.

Colors was down slightly with 233 GRPs (last week 249 GRPs). ZEE TV, now sitting comfortably in fourth could only manage 182 GRPs (last week 198).

SAB TV continues its downward slide this week with 112 GRPs (last week 117).

Imagine TV recorded 68 GRPs during the week (last week 72).

The Top 5 most watched shows in India for this respective week were ‘Saathiya’ (5.9 TVR), ‘KBC’ (4.8 TVR), ‘Balika Vadhu’ (4.4 TVR), ‘Uttaran’ (4.1 TVR) and ‘Pratigya’ (3.8 TVR).
