India ratings: Sony TV remains affirmative #2

Sony Entertainment Television Asia remains an affirmative number two in the India ratings game, according to data for Week 36 of 2011.

With the helping of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’, ‘Bade Ache Lagte Hain’ and old timer ‘CID’, Sony TV has managed to push itself further with 258 GRPs (last week 242). That’s an additional 16 points from last week.

Star Plus remains the clear leader with 300 GRPs this week (last week 299). Colors was third with 249 GRPs (last week 228 GRPs). ZEE TV was fourth with 198 points (last week 180).

In the bottom tier, SAB TV lost 11 points during the week, recording 117 GRPs (last week 128). Imagine TV recorded 72 GRPs during the week (last week 75).

The top five most watched programmes for the week were ‘Sathiya’ (5.9 TVR), ‘KBC’ (4.8 TVR), ‘Balika Vadhu’ (4.4 TVR), ‘CID’ (4.0 TVR) and ‘Pavitra Rishta’ (3.6 TVR).
