India ratings: Sony TV overtakes Colors again

Post the completion of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’, Sony Entertainment Television Asia slid to third place after Colors; however the tables have turned yet again.

According to official viewership data from TAM for Week 49 of 2011, Star Plus remained the undisputed leader at the top with 318 GRPs (last week 312).

Sony TV made a comeback of sorts by adding 9 GRPs to its total this week. It registered 240 GRPs this week (last week 231).

Meanwhile, Colors lost has shed a huge 30 GRPs this week and moved down to number three in the ratings behind Sony TV. Colors delivered 227 GRPs (last week 277).

ZEE TV improved slightly this week with 3 GRPs extra from last week, it registered 152 GRPs (last week 149).

SAB TV added 12 GRPs this week mainly down to the launch of its two new shows during this period. ‘Chidiya Ghar’ fetched 1.5 TVR and ‘RK Laxman Ki Duniya’ recorded 1.3 TVR. The channel’s total this week was recorded at 120 GRPs (last week 108).

Imagine TV was up by 4 points with 77 GRPs this week (last week 73).The Top 5 Hindi shows of the week were:
1. Saathiya (6.0 TVR)
2. Diya Aur Baati Hum (4.9 TVR)
3. Balika Vadhu (4.3 TVR)
4. Bade Achche Lagte Hain (4.3 TVR)
5. Crime Patrol (3.8 TVR)
