India ratings: Sony TV continues good run, ZEE TV slides

Sony Entertainment Television Asia’s dream run on the back of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’s launch continued for the second week running, according to data for Week 35 of 2011.

The channel registered 242 GRPs (last week 245) and remained India’s new number two channel. It was much ahead of Colors, which managed 228 GRPs (last week 232 GRPs).

ZEE TV lost 14 GRPs this week and was in fourth position. It was down to 180 GRPs this week (last week 194).

However, Star Plus was the only gainer this week, sticking at the top as the market leader with 299 GRPs this week (last week 297).

The bottom tier included SAB TV at five with 128 GRPs (last week 128) and Imagine TV recording 75 GRPs in this week (last week 76).

Amongst the top shows, ‘Saathiya’ grabbed 5.2 TVR, ‘Balika Vadhu’ received 4.7 TVR, ‘KBC’ averaged at 4.3 TVR, ‘Bade Achche Lagte Hain’ was up to 3.9 TVR and ‘Pavitra Rishta’ was down slightly to 3.9 TVR.
